Falsetto is a type of pseudo-voice, or false voice, which is more than just singing in a high pitch. As an Italian Word, it means “false little voice.” It is not a legitimate, higher version of the male voice, but instead, it’s a fake, artificial, and disembodied sound.

1. Smokey Robinson.
Smokey Robinson was an American who founded ‘The Miracles’ which was a Motown vocal group, of which He was the chief producer and songwriter. Even though falsettos had always been a part of vocal groups and barbershop quartets, The “King of Motown” is one of the key players in making Falsetto a popular vocal technique in the Motown, pop music, and R&B music scenes bringing out the sexual nature of it in songs like “Ooh baby baby” in the 60s’.


2. Philip Bailey
Philip James Bailey was a lead singer in the band Earth, Wind and Fire who was well-known for his four-octave vocal range based on virtuosity only.
