About Teacher
Whether you want to become a guitar god or simply play your favourite songs, I will create a personalised plan for you or your child and teach music that works hand-in-hand with your goals and motivations. I am very passionate about the amazing journey that is learning guitar and have been helping people play this versatile instrument for almost 18 years. I have been playing for over 24 years which has taken me all around the world, including competing in the worldwide 2016 Guitar Masters competition in Poland for Acoustic fingerpicking. I still regularly gig with my band PocketLove and Birdman Randy as well as my solo acoustic instrumental music. This has given me a broad knowledge of electric guitar styles and techniques as well as the specialist acoustic styles of virtuosos such as Tommy Emmanuel and Andy McKee. I also teach a variety of other stringed instruments and regularly teach Bass Guitar, Banjo, Ukulele, Mandolin and Lap Steel Slide Guitar. I hold a Bachelor of Popular Music from the Conservatorium and have a Graduate Certificate of Creative Industries from JMC Academy. I also have a current QLD Working With Children Blue Card. I also have lectured Audio Production and Music and a post Graduate level at JMC Academy and teach Lessons in Audio Production on Logic and Pro Tools. Group lessons available upon special request.
