About Teacher
Stephen was a late starter to the piano, beginning lessons at age 14 after dabbling in the clarinet. His motivation and passion for music saw him complete his 8th Grade AMEB exam four years later with honours, and he now studies composition at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in his third year. Stephen has taught piano to students of ages 3 – 66 and strives to cater lessons to the individual needs of each student, maintaining a balance of enjoyment and development to foster motivation. He has frequently assisted HSC music students with their compositions and approaches to analysis questions in exams. Stephen regularly performs in amateur musical theatre productions in Sydney, most recently in Chatswood Musical Society’s production of Into the Woods and Manly Musical Society’s productions of Evita and A Chorus Line. He has experience in accompaniment for AMEB exams and as a cocktail pianist in venues such as the Coronation Club and the Intercontinental Hotel.General Information
