About Teacher
Peter Havlat is a qualified and experienced flute, recorder, piano and theory of music teacher, offering lessons from his studio in Wembley and travelling on a mobile basis to Floreat, Wembley Downs, Subiaco, Wembley and City Beach. He is a Teaching member of the West Australian Music Teachers’ Association. Peter is an experienced teacher and player, and has recently moved back to Perth from London, UK. He gained a First Class Honours Degree in Flute Performance from the Royal Academy of Music, and has performed with groups including the English National Ballet, Knussen Chamber Orchestra, and the UK Musical Tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, to name a few. Peter Havlat has taught woodwind, piano and theory students of all ages and from all backgrounds, including at Schools and organisations such as Hale School, Tiffin Boys School (UK), and Sutton Music Service (UK). He possesses a diploma in pedagogical practice from the Royal Academy of Music (the Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music), and is well versed in teaching safeguarding practices.
