About Teacher
As a kid, I struggled to learn in the traditional way. I was extremely anxious and I didn’t have a lot of confidence. I loved music but found it to be bittersweet and wanted create a place for kids to learn music in their own way...and pick up a few life skills along the way. So in 2009, I started teaching in a holistic way. Working with my students as the whole person. My approach to teaching is to ‘teach the student in front of me’. This looks different for everyone, which is why I use many different tools and approaches. At the heart of it, it is all about playful learning and fun, finding the strengths in each student and drawing them out, facing the tricky little challenges that pop up when learning and empowering young people to use all the things that they learn about themselves along the way to help them with all the things that life will present them with. They’ll know they can do hard things, tackle big goals and challenges, make mistakes and try again and so much more.General Information
