About Teacher
I offer private cello and piano lessons for children and adults of all ages and abilities in person, and online. With 20 years of professional teaching experience, I tailor content to each student, their learning style, and their specific goals. I am happy to provide fun goals for those wishing to play for leisure, but do encourage my students to sit for AMEB exams when possible. I also teach music theory and recommend its study concurrently with that of music performance. I also enjoy playing the piano accompaniment parts for students to prepare them for performances and exams.General Information

Experience
I actively perform with orchestras and chamber groups across the country including the Australian Youth Orchestra and Camerata of St Johns (Qld) and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. I have taught at primary, secondary and tertiary level. I have a Bachelor and Masters degrees in performance (UQ), have studied at the National Academy of Music, and have obtained AMus and LMus qualifications on both cello and piano. I am a warm and positive teacher who genuinely enjoys inspiring students to improve their technical and performance skills and appreciate the beauty of music.
