About Teacher
I began piano lessons at six years old and continued learning piano throughout my primary and secondary school years. After completing high school, I went to Rosny College and studied music performance, music theory, stage band, concert band and audio design. I successfully completed these courses and decided to study music at the University of Tasmania, Conservatorium of Music in 2015. ​ At the University of Tasmania, I studied a Bachelor of Musical Arts with Contemporary Piano as my main instrument. Through this degree, I developed my ability to work in a band setting, I improved my aural and improvisations skills, and I also enhanced my composition and arranging skills. I completed my BMA in 2015. In 2016, I moved to Brisbane in Queensland to study a Graduate Diploma in Education at The University of Queensland and I completed this within the year. I currently run a piano studio in Lindisfarne, and I also teach relief classroom music at schools in the Hobart Region. I also organize piano recitals, create lesson plans, and discover new and exciting resources for my students. I have been teaching piano since early 2014, and have always loved seeing the light of understanding brighten a student's face. It is exciting when you see students making breakthroughs in their learning!General Information

Experience
I am a highly qualified and very experienced music teacher with a genuine love of piano teaching with children or adults. I believe learning music is important as it develops concentration skills, co-ordination and general learning ability. It is a skill worth having in your life. When parents give a child the gift of playing piano, it is a gift for life.
