Come and discover the joys of music, and unleash your inner child! Hi, my name is Selene Messinis. I am a young musician that has graduated from Blackburn High School and the Victorian College of the Arts (University of Melbourne) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Contemporary Music Performance). I offer services in piano, saxophone, voice and music theory tuition, and currently have over 6 years of private teaching experience. I completed my AMEB Piano Grade 7 in 2009, AMEB Saxophone Grade 7 in 2010 and AMEB Grade 5 Music Theory in 2011. I also undertook a VCE music subject for each instrument and was a solo performer for both. I am happy to teach enthusiastic students of any age and level up to Grade 7 AMEB (piano, saxophone) and Grade 4 AMEB (voice, music theory). Lessons are tailored to suit each individual student and I use a variety of teaching techniques for different types of learners. I love teaching a wide range of music genres, but my particular area of specialization is jazz and improvisation. Lessons can be for either 30, 45 or 60 minutes depending on preference and level. I am flexible with my teaching hours and lessons are given either in my home studio in Balwyn North or your home (in surrounding suburbs).General Information
