About Teacher
A graduate of Trinity College of Music in London, Helen is a distinguished violinist who has played with many orchestras, chamber groups and bands in the UK before relocating to Melbourne, Australia. Since arriving 5 years ago, Helen has performed all around Australia and New Zealand with orchestras, chamber ensembles and with her own solo violin and live electronic looping project 'The Looping Glass'. She has been teaching for over 10 years, from those who are picking up a violin for the first time, to those students preparing for exams, recitals and auditions. Furthermore, she is experienced in teaching pairs and small groups. Helen is always seeking to inspire budding violinists to play with the best technique and musical knowledge, whilst keeping lessons fun and tailored to individuals needs and interests. My support extends beyond the lesson time as I am always on hand to help with practise problems via email or text. Helen also trained in piano to ABRSM Grade 8 and is available to teach piano at beginner to intermediate levels.General Information
